The Story So Far

Well, after some serious head scratching, performance of the TX is not what I expected.. so back to the drawing board.. The good news is the boss took the news there was a repeater in the shop fairly well, our ploy to name it ML was well received it can stay.. phew as it cost nearly £1000 in donations!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A huge shout out to:

Daniel Wahl for all the advice, I really appreciate the help!
Tony M0TNY one of the keepers, who wrangled the DR1X
John 2E0EZK who donated the antenna
Jonathan M0JSX who did all the paperwork
Pain Pod Bob who gave us the cavity and repeater card

and finally all the folks that have been feeding back RX reports, this info has been invaluable so thanks..

There have been a few moans and groans! Sorry but we are just four shop workers with an expensive hobby, this really is just the people mentioned above who are donating time, money, parts and expertise with help from a few die hard hams testing the repeater.

So so far I am the one on the ground trying to make this work, I have no clue what I am doing however it is working to a fashion so I can hold my head up lol..

all the best

  1. End stop in Selsdon, south of Croydon. Needs promoting a bit, very under used, shame as it is a great repeater. 73s de G8PVI. _._
